Glamour & Grit Beauty is owned by Juniper Elvin. She used she/her pronouns, and is a trans woman.
She is a stylist, barber, and colourist who has been behind the chair since graduating Marvel Beauty College in 2011. With specializations in colour formulation, extensions, curls, waves, cutting, and barbering, she maintains a well-rounded skill set.
She also educates for Laced Hair Extensions and was a former was a freelance brand ambassador with Amika.
Juniper believes that having a comfortable, accepting, and professional space for her clients is one of the most paramount aspects of having a private suite as people flourish in spaces that they’re nurtured in.
Juniper has taken many advanced education hair classes, both online and in person, including advanced colour formulation, application and technique, extension application, editorial cutting, as well as modern and vintage styling.
Having taken marketing and psychology courses, she is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge beyond standard cosmetology. Her next endeavour is to study the science behind hair and the scalp, known as Trichology.
